CLEVELAND - Looking for something to do this Father's Day Weekend?
Here are five family-friendly events in Cleveland Ohio.
"Real Fans Stick Together" is the theme of the 8th annual Duct Tape Festival in Avon. Come enjoy fashions, sculptures and parade floats made out of duct tape. You'll also find food, games and live entertainment. Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. Friday and continue through Father's Day. Friday evening will be dry, with temperatures in the mid 70s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday evening and early Sunday, but temperatures will be warmer, in the low 80s.
The 2011 Walk to Cure Psoriasis kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday at Voinovich Park in Cleveland. There will be a 5K and 1K walk. Registration is free and the event continues rain or shine. Temperatures will be near 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
If your Dad is a classic car fan, celebrate Father's Day at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The 54th annual Classic, Antique and Collector Car Show includes more than 350 vehicles manufactured between 1896 and 1978. This year's show features Chrysler Town & Country cars from the 1940s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible early Sunday with highs in the low 80s.
Holden Arboretum is all about gnomes this summer. Join the opening day festivities for Gnome and Garden this Sunday at noon. Twenty gnomes will be on display around the arboretum and there will be crafts, music and a gnome parade. Watch for a chance of scattered thunderstorms Sunday afternoon. The sky will be partly cloudy, with temperatures near 80 degrees.
Come to Parma's Ridgewood Lake Park at 6:30 p.m. Sunday for this week's Summer Band Concert . Parking is available at Parmatown Mall. Just bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy! Mostly dry conditions are expected Sunday evening, with temperatures in the upper 70s.
