Toyota NS4 Concept Looks Promising

The Detroit Auto Show unveils amazing cars every year, and this January 2012 is no exception. One of the most impressive vehicles to make its debut is the Toyota NS4Concept, a look at the new design direction Toyota plans on taking its dedicated drivers. The NS4 represents a new kind of hybrid model, beyond the Toyota Prius family.

This new Toyota, which is set to hit production lines sometime around 2015, is expected to get fantastic fuel efficiency, and its hybrid technologies are already being designed, although it currently runs on aspiration.  It will be distributed and sold worldwide, and features a solar panel roof and cameras in place of side mirrors. As Jim Lentz, President and Chief Operating Officer of Toyota Motor Sales America explains, "The automobile is being reinvented because its role in our lives is being redefined." He also adds, "The continued success of our conventional hybrid vehicles has laid strong groundwork for market acceptance of future advanced technologies. NS4 demonstrates Toyota's ongoing commitment to enhancing the safety, efficiency, and convenience of future mobility for people everywhere."1

Also introduced at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show by the Japanese automaker was the new Prius c- with the "c" standing for "city." It will have a starting price of less than $19k and is a five-door hatchback that should appeal to younger buyers. The Prius c will be hitting showrooms in March, so be sure to check out our new Toyota inventory here at Sunnyside Toyota when it arrives!
